Kazakhstan Technical Passport

Passport is a term, used for a set of documents formatted and collated in accordance with Kazakhstan requirements in respect of nameplate data, mechanical characteristics, composition of materials of construction, test procedures, test results, reports, etc. Relevant Certificates of Conformity along with secondary certificates of Hygiene and/or Fire Safety are also required in the Passport. The Passports must be produced in the required format.

The following is typical of the contents required in a Passport - though it is mandatory to adhere to the format and required content of the official Passport form:

· Name plate information and data

· Environmental conditions in which equipment is designed to be used

· Basic specification of equipment

· Performance criteria

· Specification of assemblies and parts contained in the equipment/package

· Test Certificates and Test Reports (Factory Acceptance Test results, Type Test details, etc).

· Documentation & Drawings including Instruction Manuals

· Information/data on the location where equipment is to be installed

· Certificates of Conformity and other conformance certificates

· Data to be added to the Passport at site

· Details of personnel who are appointed to use the equipment

· Record of technical reviews/surveys for the site (on-going activity)

· Registration Certificate (to be issued by GGTN on site)

A single Passport for a package containing several items can only be accepted if the package has been tested as an integrated unit and the test results and documentation is available to support this.

The Passport shall list each item of the package and its associated data. Examples are separators,

metering skids, cranes, etc.

Equipment Technical Passport is required prior to installation, commissioning and operation. It is a document dossier, the purpose of which is to satisfy GGTN or other appointed installation and commissioning authorities that the item conforms to the specification and is fit for its intended purpose.

In the current Kazakhstan regulatory system, the Technical Passport acts as an ongoing maintenance record for the life of the equipment.
